Coconut oil

Coconut oil
Another oil I have heard great reviews about and that I used is coconut oil. Unlike the other oils it comes in a solid form so it has to be melted and can be more time consuming.
This oil has been around for a long time and was used to prevent hair loss or to speed up hair growth. The reason for this is the oil gets right to the roots and unlike other natural oils it gets right to the tips of hair as well providing hydration which can be a factor to hair loss.
Like the other oils it has many nutrients making the hair stronger and repairs damage. Also alike the other oils it has many anti-bacterial properties which can help to prevent hair loss and aggravation on the scalp.
The oil comes from the fruit of the coconut tree which is native to tropical and beach areas such as Africa.  As it can only bought as a solid it makes it the most natural product to use causing almost no side effects but in my own hair it made it appear more oily compared to other oils but I did notice a great result and would recommend it .

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is a plant that has many natural healing powers and is also good for treating skin problems, but I was surprised to find out that it’s a good thing to use for hair loss, greasy hair and helps sooth enflamed scalps and dandruff.
The reason it is able to help with hair loss is due to the way it can balance the pH of the scalp allowing it to be moisturized and helps breakdown dead skin cells to help with hair growth.
The healing power of Aloe Vera means that it has anti-bacterial properties which can prevent dandruff. It also helps sooth irritated scalps with the cooling properties.
Aloe Vera originally comes from North Africa and is one of the most natural products for healing and repairing skin and hair. As it has been such a success it has been panted and is being sold globally for all purposes. It is found as a whole plant and also as gels or creams. The reason it is so successful is due to all the natural properties it offers.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba Oil

Another ‘miracle’ oil is Jojoba oil. Like Moroccan oil is comes from a natural source – Jojoba seeds. The seeds have a similar composition to the oils the scalp produces naturally called sebum, which makes it a good match for usage in the hair.

The Jojoba shrub is found in California, Arizona and Mexico and alike Moroccan oil has made it all the way around the world. As it is composed of almost all unsaturated fats it’s great for thickening and strengthening hair.

Another reason for its success is the power it has to help with dry scalp and dandruff as it has many anti-bacterial properties which helps with irritation as well.

The thing I find best about the oil is how it claims to encourage hair growth which is what almost every girl my age wants, so along with thickening and making my hair look very healthy it also helps with hair growth in a completely natural way.

As well as buying the oil alone there are a few shampoos and conditioners which have Jojoba oil in them which are cheaper to buy than the oil which obviously wouldn’t be as beneficial as the oil its self but they do have benefits.

Moroccan oil

Moroccan oil at New York fashion week.

As fashion weeks are all happening at this time, Moroccan oil has made many appearances on the runway. For many brands it was used to create a slick and wet and shiny look, as well as making the hair look healthy such as what Odile Gilbert styled for Altuzarra.

But Moroccan oil was also responsible for the soft and gentle wavy hair coming from large texturized up do for Badgely Mischka.

Another different look it was used for was the Zac Posen collection where the hair was described as a chic but feminine look.

So how does Moroccan oil make it to New York?

Moroccan oil is found from the argan tree fruit which is most commonly grown in Morocco. As it contains many vitamins and omega it is a miracle for nourishing and repairing hair and with it being such a natural product with no chemicals like the other hair repair products it has made huge hit globally and is the reason it makes it all the way to New York fashion week.
